Singers and Songwriters of the Jewish Home joined with world-class musicians to perform their original songs on their debut CD "Island on a Hill" (2002). Their story of their experience making the CD during the week of 9/11/2001 is told in Nathan Friedkin's award-winning film "A 'Specially Wonderful Affair" (2002, fdigital.net)

Now in it's 13th year, Songwriting Works at the Jewish Home has brought more than 250 elder residents together in song composition and performance projects. Participants, average age 87, have composed 85 songs. Click links below to download songs and read news from the archives.
